If it sounds like it’s too good to be true, run far, far away from it!! Sounds shady to me.

It’s a numbers game. If you can get traffic then ads that you display on your site may be seen & acted upon, generating revenue. This is true whether it be this software, or Google AdSense, etc.
The key is traffic. Why should someone visit your site? The answer is because you have something of value for the visitor - a solution to their problem, a community of like-minded people, etc.
Without traffic, you won’t generate revenue. First, figure out how to attract your desired customer to your site. Then you can better “monetize” your visitors, should you wish.
