It’s all about the links. Reciprocal and Inbound. I wrote a quick post on traffic:

Other things you can try are traffic exchanges or start up your own newsletter. Offer an incentive for people to sign-up.

Create a RSS feed for your site and submit your feed to the RSS directories (http://sidelinestream.com/26/blog-rss/)

One last thing… participate here and answer questions that are related to your site.

First thing you should have done is posted your website URL in your question (I would have checked it out). Another good reason is because Yahoo answers has regularly changing content, It gets indexed regularly by search engines spider/robots, they would have followed your link to your site and indexed it…Most of web traffic come from search engines queries, so make sure you use your “keywords” in your “meta” tags, “alt” tags and headings also submit your site manually to search engines (automatic submission by some software programs can be classified as spam and have your site banned especially in the big 3 (Google, Yahoo, MSN))! For more detailed information check out the link that I used below

Well i promoted my cricket online streaming website by a very new and upcoming method. The website is . By advertising my site there, a realised i had many more people subscribing to my site. My traffic increased 3 fold!

Well the only possibe downside is that i had 2 pay for it. But i would say at $40 for a year, it is much cheaper that pay-per-click companies like google adwords.

I was cheap, thats why i used it since i aint one 2 spend 2 much on promoting sites and stuff

There are a number of free resources available to advertise your website and increase traffic. You can advertise on relevant free classifieds () , directories (dmoz) and relevant forums. Major search engines like Yahoo, Google , MSN search are a major source of visitors for most websites and you can submit your website to these search engines for free. You can also run contests offering prizes to regular visitors. I have found the following website useful
